What a month December was! The kids were very busy with school. Heather had mid-terms right before vacation. The last day of school was Thursday Dec 22nd. As Christian ended up not having to work that day we packed and left for NY as soon as the younger 3 kids got out of school. We drove straight through to Poughkeepsie arriving around 7:30am the next morning (the kids slept while Brent & I took turns driving). My parents weren't expecting us until that evening so we surprised them and yet my dad was still able to whip up a fantastic breakfast for all of us. On Christmas Eve we had our traditional dinner of my mom's sweet & sour chicken. We were having so much fun visiting with everyone we only took 3 pictures. The first one is Heather reading. Heather loves to read but usually has so much homework that she hardly has time to read for fun. She took full advantage of her time off from school. The 2nd picture is just food prep and the 3rd picture is Brian having some leftover pasta.
