Heather is on her Middle School Cross Country Track team and on Sep 10th they had their first meet. The 8th graders run a 2 mile race and the 7th graders run 1.5 miles. (Heather is in 7th)

They usually run a separate race for the 7th grade girls and then the boys but this time they decided to do all the 7th graders together. Here they are lining up to start the race. Had to be over 100 kids. I couldn't even fit them all into the picture.

Heather was 65th out of all those who ran but then to give official results they had to rank the boys and girls separately. I don't know where Heather placed against only the other girls but I do know that her school won the meet and won that race. Her time was 15:23. Her goal is to improve on her time even just a little bit each race.
