Spring Break

The kids had their spring break this past week (Mar30-Apr3). We drove to NY and had lots of fun visiting family and friends. On Tuesday Mar 31st we went into Manhattan and visited the USS Intrepid, a WW II aircraft carrier that is now a museum. Here are some pics taken with my cell phone camera. We had LOTS of fun.

Geoffrey in front of some of the aircraft on the deck of the carrier.

Brian in the Captain's chair on the Captain's Bridge (there is an Admiral's bridge below the Captain's bridge - the Admiral directs the whole fleet from his bridge while the Captain directs his individual ship from his bridge)

In the hangar they had more planes and helicopters. Here is Brian pretending to be a wounded man being transported by helicopter. He couldn't help but smile.

Christian, Brian and Geoffrey having fun - the boat rocked back and forth like it was really out on the water

I can't believe how big the kids are getting. The Intrepid looks really cool, maybe we will go there too! Although you do have a Manhattan tour guide, and we do not...

My Blog

This blog started as a way to let family and friends who don't live close to us see what was going on in our lives. It has also become a kind of family journal/scrapbook. Enjoy!
