Our New Home - Nov. 13, 2008

Here are some pics of our new home. My sister has been asking for these. We still have lots of unpacking to do and there are boxes in every picture.

Here it is from the front. We live on the corner of a cul-de-sac which is nice. The kids love riding their bikes/scooters around the circle.

Here is our kitchen. We've never had a kitchen this big before. Some of the cabinets are still completely empty.

This is the family room.

The back deck

This is a den or optional 5th bedroom. We're using it as an office.

Formal dining room - which we didn't have before. We don't have 2 sets of chairs so there's just a table set in there for now. When our youngest is a little older we'll consider buying a nice dining room set. It'll just get destroyed if we get one now.

Living Room

Basement rec room/2nd family room

View of 2 story foyer from the top of the steps - I can't wait to decorate this picture window for Christmas. I haven't made up my mind yet exactly how to do it but I've got lots of ideas.

Master Bedroom

My favorite place in the house - the jacuzzi tub in the master bath

Well, that's it. We're really enjoying having more room to live in than we ever had before. We love our neighborhood. Everyone is really nice. We're a little nervous to see how much snow we get this winter. We're expecting more than we would've gotten if we were still in NY. We miss our friends and family from NY but we're making new friends here and with cell phones and e-mail people just aren't as out of reach as they used to be.

Okay, it is GORGEOUS! The curb appeal is amazing! I love the built-ins! Looks like you have a lot of unpacking to do...and a lot of leaves to rake! Thanks for the awesome pics!

Can't wait to come visit. Glad it is still fall there. Glad you have a big kitchen, the most important room.

My Blog

This blog started as a way to let family and friends who don't live close to us see what was going on in our lives. It has also become a kind of family journal/scrapbook. Enjoy!
