July 18 - Palmyra, NY - sightseeing

July 18th, Wednesday, was our day to drive over to Palmyra, NY and do some sightseeing.  We really had fun.  One of our first stops was the sight of the first publication of the Book of Mormon.

We also stopped and visited the grave of Alvin Smith.  

We had just talked about how sad Joseph Smith Jr. was to lose his brother Alvin.  I told them they did not have to smile for the picture.
