Fall Happenings

Things have been crazy in the Stratford house.  Cross Country Track every day after school, Football every Tues, Thurs, and Saturday.  Cub Scouts and YW every Wednesday.  Homework, music lessons and practice time, chores, Relief Society, Primary, etc.  There's hardly any time to keep up with the laundry and other housework.  Heather just got her school pictures back.  She's in 8th grade now and she's really growing into quite the young woman.  Geoffrey and Brian just had their pictures taken earlier this week so we don't have them back yet.  I will post them as soon as I get them.

The trees are changing colors.  This is my favorite season and we have had an especially beautiful autumn so far.

This jungle is the result of 6 small tomato plants planted 1.5 feet apart just like the directions said.  You practically need to cut a path with a machete to get to any tomatoes in the middle.

We have had beautiful tomatoes though.

This is a pumpkin vine that couldn't contain itself inside the boundaries of our little garden.  It belongs to Geoffrey.  It's a Cub Scout project.

As of Sept 27th, when I took this picture, all we had was this one small pumpkin.  I'm calling it "the little pumpkin that could."

Wow, those tomatoes look SCRUMPTIOUS!!!! And to clarify, is "cleaning up the monstrous pumpkin plant" part of the Cub Scout project, too?

Great picture of Heather- forgot she had braces. And those tomatoes are big and very red. Ours did not turn out so well this year. Hope you can enjoy yours. And I LOVE FALL!

My Blog

This blog started as a way to let family and friends who don't live close to us see what was going on in our lives. It has also become a kind of family journal/scrapbook. Enjoy!
