What an amazing, fun, awesome, hot, exhausting day we had today. It started with Geoffrey doing flag service. Let me explain - his Boy Scout troop's annual fundraiser is the selling of a holiday flag posting service. For $40/year the troop will post an 8 foot pole with the American flag on the corner of your property on Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Patriot Day, Columbus Day and Veterans Day. Geoffrey sold 13 subscriptions (he was the top seller). His assigned route is 12 homes and the flags are to be in at sunrise. So......at about 5am Brent and Geoffrey were out posting flags. I stayed in bed so I don't have any pictures but the flag service was sold all over our subdivision and later in the day we drove around and there were lots of flags. On some blocks it was almost every house. It was a wonderful sight. I can't wait for Flag Day so I can see it again.
Then Geoffrey marched in the Naperville Memorial Day Parade as part of the Fischer Middle School Marching Band. It was VERY hot but it was fun. Here are the pics:

Then later that day we had a fun potluck BBQ at our house with lots of friends. It was soooooo much fun and there was lots of delicious food. At sunset Brent took Geoffrey to go pick up all 12 flags. Everyone slept really well.
